anyone have any experience cutting their factory front control arm brackets? what works best, a sawzall or grinder with cut off wheel??

i would say sawzall for the general cut then clean it up with a grinder. that being said i have not done this and have no experience. just an idea

thanks man! any input is good,. I just wanna prepare for this weekends install, I have zero power tools other than a drill  so I'll be shopping for the necessary tools

I would agree with steve as well. If you are good with a grinder tho you could use it for the rough cuts and then to smooth everything out. No matter what you do just take your time. Cant wait to see this installed tho as I was looking into the synergy stuff as well.

(update)

so I bought some matte black vinyl wrap and decided to wrap my front fenders + part of the hood, and this is what I came up with

Can you take a pic of your rig from the front with the painted fenders I want to see it looks pretty sweet

finished up the front long arm install last night, it wasn't as difficult as I expected, the most time consuming part was cutting off the factory brackets :icon_crazy:,. heres a couple shots I took

jacked up and removing factory arms

This is looking GREAT!!! :thumb: There are soo many build threads that they are all hard to keep up with and this is my first time looking at yours but DAMN! I am envious of the hood, but cant justify it until another 2 years down the road or so for my build. Lets just hope its popular enough to keep it in production until then :fingerscrossed:

thanx man, I know what u mean, I can think of 100 other possible upgrades I could of done with that cash but I didnt really feel the hit so hard, sold a bunch of old instruments and gear I wasn't using, so it paid for the hood and trip :D and it was a great excuse to get away from the AZ desert heat, visit ORE shop and cool off at the beach
