It’s all good [emoji6]just keep an eye out while you are editing for a holler if I finally get myself stuck [emoji23] had one close call today off chamber sliding in sand. Had to air down further than I cared to without beadlocks and thank god for lockers. Would’ve been easier with a set of maxtrax. Makes for an interesting “well shit, how’m I gonna do this” when you don’t have the luxury of being surrounded by all the trees you could want to winch off of. Had this hovering in the back of my mind [emoji23][emoji23]View attachment 329255

If “mid-arms” on a JL are anything like a JK, I’m sure Eddie and Cindy stayed away from them. They suck, lead to frustration and spending more money to un-do it. Ask me how I know. [emoji20]

I think 'midarms' are like those penis enlargement spam emails. Someone tries to convince you that by buying it that you magically get a longer item, but in reality, you still pretty much have the same item.

So, question, I didn’t happen to notice, with that much flex I’m assuming there are no limiting straps? Obviously the brake lines are extended, at those lengths what keeps them from getting caught/snagging/pinched in stuff? Sorry if noob questions, but have never seen a setup like this in person.

We had to cut the flex testing after we found the issue with the front sway bar link ends digging into the sidewalls at a full flex and turn. But, we hope to have that fixed before the end of the week and resume testing soon after :)

:cheesy: Yup, they're kinda lame in every which way you look at them. Essentially, they're just arms that are about an inch too long and nothing but trouble. :crazyeyes:

The brake lines are rigid enough that so long as you have them routed out of the way, they should stay out of the way.

I know I've said it many times but you and Cindy produce absolutely the best videos. They are not only entertaining but informative.

I loved seeing the EVO guys cutting off the brackets with a cutting torch. It reminded me of watching my grandfather in the 70's in his Auto mechanics shop he built in his back yard across the street from an Oldsmobile factory. He used it for everything.

It's always nice to see Mel, he and his guys do such good amazing work. I can't wait to see the finished product along with the testing videos.

Thanks for bring us along for the lesson in welding as well. That guy has some mad skills laying dimes. Very impressive. :clap2:

Thank you, we really do appreciate it. As far as the welding goes, it should be noted that the JL frame is more of a challenge to weld on than the JK. We've seen lots of guys struggle with it but Tommy just knows his stuff. In spite of the issues, he can still stack the dimes :)

It's amazing how fast two guys who know what they're doing and have all the tools necessary can bang out a suspension mod...
