Any 14 year old with good equipment can take great footage and piece it together. To tell a story though, you must be a story teller. Eddie and Cindy are story tellers and, whether it's a trip on a dirt road or a gnarly run, their videos always make me wish I had been along for the ride. Honestly, I have yet to have any other production crew make me feel the same way. It's not just about the terrain, it's about the people, the experience, and the camaraderie.

Thanks Sharkey. On that point, I'd point out that so much of why we love the Jeep WAYALIFE is that we get to spend time with our friends. Of all the people who've attended the JKX events, I can maybe count on one hand how many of them are even members of this forum let alone are personal friends. For how much it takes to attend, film and make videos out of these events, Cindy and I would rather do it with people that are actually our friends and actually enjoy spending time with. :yup:

I do find it funny how a guy comes onto our forum, WAYALIFE and to compliment Cindy and I on the videos we've made and yet, so many of you feel the need to chime in and say how much you either like the new JKX videos or comment on how ours are just as good as them. I mean, it's just a thought but if you really like these new videos, perhaps you should say as much on THEIR website. I'm sure THEY would appreciate it just as much as Cindy and I appreciated hearing the kind words given to us from the OP. Again, it's just a thought.

To echo what was said, Eddie and Cindy put their heart and soul into creating their videos. There is no comparison. Their videos capture the essence of their trips. Portraying the deep and meaningful friendships they have and tell a great story about their wheeling adventures.

I liked the JKX video overall and was really excited to watch it. I think the big style difference is WAYALIFE focuses mainly on the jeep 4 wheel experience and the brother hood of it. The JKX video was good but it just seemed like it was an advertisement for Alaska. It was really good quality and I think it would have been an awesome experience. I really enjoy all the stuff WAYALIFE promotes.

in my eyes, regardless of who shoots whatever video for whatever reason, I was always blown away by Eddie and Cindy's videos because they really bring the viewer into the video and make u feel like your there. and after having the privilege of spending time with them on and off the trail, I truly feel like they have shown me what they mean by the Wayoflife.

I watched it, it was ok. It's not something I would go back and rewatch as I've done countless times with Eddie and Cindy's videos. I truly enjoy the action, but even more so, I enjoy the narration, the stories, the history, the trail fixes, and the off the cuff humor. Eddie and Cindy do a great job of capturing the camaraderie too, every body always seems like old friends. Overall when I watch them, I'm left feeling like I was almost there, like I got to know the all the people that were there. The newer JKX videos, although good, just don't make that connection to me. I'm blown away that neither of you have any formal training, keep up the great work!

Thank you Ty. We really appreciate it and we always hope that the friendships you see in our adventures come across as sincere as they really are.
Like I've been saying, the only thing we make home movies about our friends and the good times we have out on the trail.
Well, I hope you'll get a chance to join us out on the trail someday and be apart of all the fun that is a WAYALIFE for us. :yup:

I watched the Alaska video on Monday, and honestly I thought it was great. but the whole time I kept hoping SOMEONE would start talking about the trail/highway/location/history/obstacle/ HELL, even the damn pipeline, SOMETHING to engage with. While the video was great. It didn't "grab me" like a WAL film. the film crew just didn't seem to have the right vision/passion for me to "LOVE IT" (I hope this doesn't hurt my chances at winning the Fridge :idontknow
I think just about every regularly participating member here (and possibly majority of the jeep community) care about so much more than JUST driving a jeep over various terrain. The adventure is also a big part of the experience, the history of the locations, the obstacles, the "HYPE", the "4-1-1", the "deets", the "Meat AND Potatoes" of the destinations. This is what I feel Eddie and Cindy showcase, and that is just AMAZING. :thumb:
