I came across this yesterday, gotta say it's a real nice project! I wanted to trade my 2dr for a jku, but with a jeep like that, humm  I'm gonna think about a little longer. I would really like one, if only I had an auto instead of a stick, I would keep it

Those look sweet. I'm afraid to know how much cash that costs.

Says the conversion starts at $8500. That's all stock plus the 10". No suspension mods, tires, wheels, roll cage, etc. I guess the hard and soft tops would no longer work either.

That does look sweet! But I think I would rather do a stretch for that price.

Speaking of that RTguy how much is that stretch costing you? You can PM me.

that looks sick! i love the project, but i like the stretch a bit more, at least in vengeance's case haha, i dont know to many other stretched jeeps.

Really I would rather have a true Jeep "LK". I love the LJ and can't believe they haven't made a longer version of the two door JKR. The rigs like Vengeance that are stretched are great but the sheet metal never quite looks right with the rear tires hanging out behind them. These extended frame rigs look amazing but as said you can't use any stock top, the cage and suspension will be extra. I can't see laying out that much money or time without my rig but if I could drive one off the lot for a reasonable price with a hard and soft top if be all for it.

Once I win the lottery I'll buy a stretched JKR and an extended one and let you guys know which I like better. Till then I'll be waiting for Chrysler to realize their mistake.

Like stated above, the stretch process starts at 8500$.

It's not mentionned anywhere on their site but, I guess it includes body stretch (which should include cage stretch), frame stretch, repaint, new rear drive shaft.

And FYI, I beleive they both have suspension stretch of 3", plus the 10" body stretch. which makes 108" wheelbase instead of 95.

Guess this is not including a new soft top, but it is possible! they stretched a trektop to fit the body!

its a shame the factory doesnt just make these, cuz I would have deffinitly purchased one, someday hopefully I can afford a stretch or something like this. Also after looking at what they do to make it...doesnt seem like a ton of work to the frame, mainly just more body work is required.

Saw the orange one at EJS and it is VERY clean. It took me a few minutes to figure out what was different, because it was done so well. One of my favorite Jeeps at EJS.

according to their site there is no suspension stretch included with the base stretch of 10". this simply extends the body panels and the frame rails. this is kinda nice and allows you to retain the factory suspension leaving the door open to use any aftermarket kit you would like. you could do the 10" stretch and still use the evo dtd and lever system for example. this makes replacement parts easier to come by vs. custom fabbed arms etc.

as stated, the rigs pictured are decieving and actually end up with 13" of stretch at the wheels, 10" body/frame stretch and 3" form the rk 3" stretch long arm.

i think these are unique and look great. I do think there is a big difference between stretching the wheelbase of a 2door, and building a jkl from a 2door by stretching the body and frame. the position of the wheels relative the body/frame are different and will result in different characterisitcs in handling and wheeling. both choices however kick major ass!!

yup! what I meant is that both shown rigs are runing a suspension stretch of 3" PLUS the body stretch :thumb: I really like the idea. The only thing that makes me think twice about adding this to my wish list is the fact that mine is a stick, and I would like to go auto sometime.

Why would you want to go auto? And why would it matter with the stretch?

I want an auto because I'm tired of driving a stick. And it matters with the strech because if I do it, I'm stuck with a stick.

BUT, this is mainly because I hate driving standart in rock crawling, I know I don't have the best setup for it right now and it's not helping me (35's, 3.73 and np231).

I guess I don't understand why you are stuck with a stick if you went with this conversion.

I would rather have a manual then a auto for wheeling. Its more fun!:brows:

The conversion is a project, not done yet :p

Yes standart is fun, but I always had sticks since I'm old enough to drive, and I'm a little tired. Auto is just more "comfy" and no god damn clutch sliping on the trail.

I just sent an email to kustomkoachworks for a little more info on the conversion.

I quote what I sent and will post the answer as well.

Hi,

I came across your site through poison spyder facebook page who shown the black widow with their armors. I must say that this is a bad ass jeep! I just fell in love with the concept! This is something I really would like to put on my wish list, even though I see this on a long time period, I have couple questions to ask about it.

It is written that the conversion starts at 8500$, but there is no details on what is included at that price. I guess frame/body stretch, along with rollcage stretch, full repaint maybe? longer rear driveshaft and exhaust.

Is there any options for a longer soft top? I see Orange Krush has a longer trektop, is there something that could be included in the conversion?

If before I bring the rig to your shop, I already have a long arm suspension, i.e: evo double D, and want a 3" stretch, is it something you can fit without buying longer arms?

Thanks for your time

Alexandre
