These pictures simply make me nauseous, we all know how ours and other jeeps effect us. Our jeeps are our blood sweet and tears, dreams, hobbies and our ability to venture far away from the very society that will burn them down. I hope his insurance company does the right thing.

I would be surprised if it really was caused by a cig on the top. No experience or credible input to back up my opinion, though. When I get a new top I should test it out...

Well better this incident happened now and not after sticking thousands of dollars in mods. As long as he has insurance he will get a new jeep.

Insurance claim perhaps ... Maybe payments were a bit to hefty for junior ... Just sayin ...
Definitely would have needed some kind of accelerant, perhaps a cleaner of sorts on the top ... Cig flicked on the top, depending on which top it was and material... But i would think if anything it would burn through or melt a whole in it rather than igniting the entire rig, but he they have said people have caught themselves on fire smoking in bed and falling asleep - the world may never know ...
But if it was me i would have blamed the CB ... [emoji6]

Hahaha ok I talked to the owner of the jeep yesterday and he said that he thinks it might have been the wiring he did with his speakers! The truth is no one really knows for sure how the fire started! Sorry for the confusion guys I was told that a cigarette started it but now im not so sure. It just sucks that the jeep was destroyed but insurance covered it 100%!

Yeah, the cigarette did seem a little minor after seeing the photos. Even the wiring though, wow. I guess they do make fuses for a good reason. At least he's covered.
