My 8 year old was able to help out. If you 2 do it together, you'll be fine. Pictures in the manual are great and detailed.

Here's an example photo. Every step shows the parts you need and where to put them.

Got mine in today. My daughter ordered it from the Lego website a few minutes after midnight New's Years Eve. Very excited to put this one together. My kids got all kids of sets growing up, but I wasn't allowed to help (something about Daddy not sharing ).
