Its Finally Here, LoD Jeep JK Patent Pending Roof Rack!!!

There sure are a lot of nuts and bolts to keep tight. Nice looking design but I am concerned about the weight as well. Not sure if the added benefit of the sliding system outweighs the fact the Gobi has significantly less hardware to maintain.

It will be interesting to see the reviews after it has been in the field for 6 months or so.

The hardware is stainless steel, and the nuts are self locking nylock.

LOD roof rack

That is the best looking fully functional roof I have ever seen. What are the dimensions? I have a Tepui roof top tent and if I could put it on my roof that would save me the hassle of retro fitting my trailer to carry the tent.

Sand ladder decking; nice touch!

Norm

We actually manufacture the Aluminum decking on one of our CNC turret punches! The amount of holes and the spacing are meant to provide a light weight floor with plenty of surface area if you have small items but still provide shade as an awning when you have the rack in the open position.

roof rack came out awesome! definitely going to be a big seller:thumb: really like the idea of sliding it back for shade also.

Already have LOD sliders. Very pleased and looking forward to their rear bumper. Just might have to add this roof rack to my build list.

LOD ROCKS!!!!

The 2 door version will be available shortly after the 4 door is released

There we go. Thanks for the response. I'll give this a look when the 2door version comes out.

Might consider making a couple of them removable. In a really bad sand situation, you could use them under the tires. Sure, you would have to unload your gear first but if it gets that bad in the sand you probably wouldn't care.

Any chance of seeing some shots side on with it open and closed and also from the back with it closed?

Also I saw it asked earlier but haven't seen a response, what is the added height from top of hard top to the top of the rack?

And finally can the ladder be mounted on the right hand side for use on RHD vehicles that we have here in Australia?

Great looking product! Awesome job guys!:rock::rock::rock::rock:

Jeeps don't get stuck they just stop for the occasional rest! We're the ones who have to rescue all the fat Jap brands! :cheesy:

Nice piece of design work...some thoughtful ideas in there. Well done!
Also, very nice to see you're going to make them for the 2 door......for some reason, some companies forget who was here first, lol.

Available for the 2-door? The JK with limited storage..............

Awesome!! Great job guys!! Same question here 2-door in the works? Forget I just saw your post for the release of 2-door I will be awaiting it!
