In The Shop - Disciple Off Road

Been looking forward to start on this 392. Teardown has begun and should have gas tank dropped to start cutting tomorrow.

This 392 will be getting EVO DTD and long arms for suspension, RockJock high steer steering/knuckles, PSC and 38’s. Will also be adding RCV’s, 1350 driveshafts and 4.88 gears.

Sounds awesome but I’m curious, why 4.88s?

Damn between you and Eddie your not making it easy to leave mine alone 🤣

Especially since he will be running 38's, we have found the 4.88's are the sweet spot compared to the 4.56. You could certainly get away with both but we wanted to get that little extra. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how they feel.
With the 8 speed trans, you can definitely get away with 4.88...when I had 4.88 in Brute with 37's and the 5 spd trans, it was sluggish...

With the XR & 35's, the 4.56 is fine...in my opinion...

Awesome great to hear! Yeah it’s definitely personal preference between the two.
Definitely preference after the hemi conversion and running 38’s on 5.13s I would say it’s a lil high for highway driving.
Currently sitting at almost 2500 RPM at 75 so I think 4.88s is the way to go depending on where you live and speed limits.
