I'm saying this shouldn't have been done publicly for everyone to see. I get that according to some he broke a rule. So take him out back and talk about it, but to do it out here for everyone to see just seems pointless. It's turned into a spectacle and in some ways puts the forum in a bad light.
 
Wow!!! I can't believe this thread went this far just because you didn't want to obey the rules?! We all make mistakes but you were asked politely twice and that is no mistake that's just being a stubborn asshat!

I read this entire thread. WOW!!! The rules on this forum are pretty straight up and simple to follow. All this talk about America and freedom... Really??? This was a pretty simple thing. Eddie has rules. His rules protect the businesses that actually follow the rules and pay for advertising. If your profile was changed to "shop owner" and the thread you posted in showed those cool jeeps and did not mention "your shop", this would have ended about 9 pages ago. How hard is to reply to Frank and say, "My bad, I'll fix it." This would be a dead issue and were all on to the next thread. SIDE NOTE: Frank thank you for helping Eddie monitor his forum and protecting all of the Vendors that pay for their advertising.

It really was that easy but apparently he thinks the rules don't apply to him.

Rules are rules and if he is a man he will stick to his word and not come back, but I really doubt that will happen.

What exactly are you defending? Eddie has made it clear these types of issues are made public so nobody can go on later telling their fairy tales about how they were banned for no reason.

If you read this thread his PM was very clear. Then he went on to post that he didn't give a crap and started his hissy fit. You too are welcome not to log back on if you don't agree.

Why was the PM ever made public? I think it possibly could have turned out different had it never been brought out here in the open. Maybe it wouldn't have turned into such a pissing contest between you guys.

I'm not even going to respond to that. You seriously need to sack up. Don't defend people who are wrong. He violated the rules and continues to suggest the rules don't apply to him.

I'm not defending you or him. In the future, it might be better for the community if shit like this wasn't made into a side show. I understand the responsibility you have as a moderator to protect the interest of those that advertise here. But shouldn't your responsibility also be to keep dumb shit like this from happening? I'm not trying to stir more shit up, I'm just saying it protects the forum, you, and the accused from being cast into a negative light if you keep it out of the public eye.

If they chose to make it public, don't get baited into it. Use the tools you have to keep it civil and allow everyone else to feel welcome here. That's all I'm trying to say.
