I think you may have to bypass Texas, I don't think there is any public land here... Anyone know of any??

not much and no where near enough to cross the state on ... most is down in the south east corner , Davey Crockett , Angelina , Sam Houston National Forest , then you have a few grass land areas and Big Thicket preserve
