True! I've got a huge spot under my Christmas tree for a Warn winch! Hahaha

Nice!

Just tracked my shipment. 103lbs total and anticipating arrival on Thursday.

The difficult part will be leaving the Zeon at home for the trip this Saturday. There is no way I can get my bumper ready in time to mount it properly between receiving it and heading out early Saturday morning. [emoji26]

This was waiting for me when I got home from work last night!

I won't get to work on installing it for a week though... [emoji26]

Sweet bud! If you are anything like me you are chomping at the bit!

Well, I did give it a try, but I like my neighbors and I had a lot more cutting and grinding to do. I did get the top part of the bumper cut out for a test fit. I need to cut out more. I was also going to relo my vac pump by making my own bracket. After looking at it I'm just going to order one.

This is how it stands...

Congrats!!

Thanks!

Bummer [emoji15]

I did figure out a "skid" for my spare tire on the factory carrier. Pulled the ball off and flipped around my 5 1/4" draw bar. Looks like it will work pretty good with zero fab work.

Off to bed. Heading to Mansfield Canyon in the morning...

Late to the game here. Very nice building! I love how detailed you are and that you are fitting your build to your families needs. Thank you for your service. My father in law is showing early signs of Alzheimers and it is rough seeing it light before the train. I am sorry your hardship.

I really like what you've done with Spider. My lift is about a year out and it's nice to see mods that will hold me over until then and not break the bank.

Unfortunately I can't offer anything more than to enjoy your time with your father in law, no matter how far it progresses. I hope you and your family have many good days with him, and thank you for your kind words.

Thank you for the comments on Spider. Although I'm not the most capable rig, I can still get down the trail, learn a lot along the way and enjoy myself. I have learned so much doing all the work myself and have no regrets. I have dreams yes, but the family is priority for sure.

Today I was humbled by a rock completely ripping off my pass rear lca skid and bending the flange. Clearly my welding wasn't up to par on that side. I didn't realize it was gone until way down the trail, so it's still out there somewhere. I'll probably order EVO Rockstar skids this time and get help from a buddy with the welding, or at least have him there to watch over my work. (I'm more of a grinder than a welder, as I've said before! [emoji849][emoji23])

Gas tank skid ain't what she used to be!

Bent the EVO cross member skid [emoji15]

And the pass rear lca damage [emoji19]

Even with some bumps and bruises, I crawled through stuff with ease compared to a Toyota 4 Runner that joined us. So still loving Spider and its capabilities! [emoji106]

Great battle scars! Marks of a Jeep that truly gets used.

This was definitely the most challenging trail I've been on in my Jeep. I'll wear the scars proudly!

I also found the value of chopped factory fender flares today. My drivers side rear fender pushed up against a tree, hard and almost completely flat on the body. The result, some scuffs on the door edge guard and a couple broken clips. No body damage.

Great pics, looks like a fun trail. Those damm rock catch'n rear LCA brackets get beat to crap, I keep thinking about EVO Rockstars, just haven't got around to it.

I love that tire picture. Rig is looking bro. Battle scars are always something to be proud of. Hope all is well brother.

Thanks!

I wish my gas tank skid still looked like that lol

Well, it is custom so I can't guarantee the exact same look, but I can recommend a trail where you can complete this mod yourself! [emoji23]

I just looked at the write up on these again. Clearly no welding, but lots of grinding/cutting (and I am good at that!!!).

Great pics! Looks like it was a fun day out on the trail. [emoji3]

Thanks! Yes it was. The factory spare tire carrier did fine too with the isolator mod you showed me. Also the 5 1/4" drop hitch pull bar, with ball removed and flipped over was a perfect skid. I did hit it a couple times and no damage.

I've been thinking about going that route for protecting my spare too. Good to know that it works. :yup:

And I second the EVO Rockstar skids. The install is a bit of a pain but I haven't gotten caught on them since.

After seeing that happen. Why would you buy an aftermarket set of fenders? I haven't cut mine yet, but I sled into a tree on my left rear and you can barely tell.
