Houston Area Wayalife-ers!

I think high water vehicles (think 4x4's on 37's & up with winches), small boats & jet skis would be appreciated...they will also need drinkable water & hot meals...I may fly back & drive down. There are a lot of people that would appreciate hot coffee & a cup of soup...

Yea lots of help is going to be needed. Lots of homes are being ruined. If you come down, bring water before you head. You're hard pressed to find one bottled water here right now.

A lot of people don't know what that's like. No electricity, no food in stores, no gasoline, no water. Good luck everyone.

We just got a voluntary evacuation here in Sugar Land. There's just no place to go even if we wanted to.

On the bright side: wifey wishes the Jeep was lifted right now. Maybe that will be in the future without a fight! [emoji23]

Ugh. I have friends in Sugar land that are taking water in their first floor right now. That's the thing...even if you were to evacuate, the transit roads are all flooded too.

I live near downtown and our road was flooded up to our knees last night. It's gone down since, but gotta keep an eye out. The water level rises incredibly fast with everything soaked up. And their about to open up the addicks which should make things interesting.

My view is that I'd rather deal with water at home where I know I have what we need to get through as opposed to on the road where I don't know what is out there (with limited supplies). You can't get away from it at this point, decide where you think you have your best shot and go for it.

Absolutely a disaster. My capts house flooded. Sounds like the misses mustang may be flooded at the in laws along with a couple of their cars. Water is just a few inches out of the house. It's letting up but rain is steady. The rain is keeping up with the draining.

No power at the house since yesterday. Trees coming down on power lines because of saturated ground and high water has made things difficult. most roads and highways have become impassable. Got my family to my uncle's house in the The Woodlands.

Just a few pictures I took yesterday.

This is a basketball court pavilion. The nets are completely submerged.

Ending with Kroger madness.
