Hey man, when you have 35" trail grapplers on your stock wheels how did you mount the spare to the rear? Or did you already have the gen right carrier?

I had it in the back untill I got the genright, didnt want to spend the money on a quick fix or risk the damage to the tailgate

What did you mount it on? Did you ise a spacer? Mine keeps bouncing. The tire, carier, and tailgate are all moving

Just layed it in the back, no strap or anything and didnt wheel with it while I was waiting for the carrier. Never put it on the tailgate.

I think it's just a matter of opinion cuz some guys run 37 on stock spare tire carrier. I guess it's all about how tight you can get it to tailgate.

well i didnt want to spend the money on a spacer just to have to sell it once my carrier came in. I try to do it right once than spend more when I dont have to anymore.

Absolutely , a tire carrier for me isn't in the budget at the moment but hopefully by the winter

I have my tire cranked on there really good but the entire tailgate bounces when i hit bumps on the highway.....yes, the tailgate it self actually moves.....should just get it removed and run the setup on vengence

do your rubber isolators touch the tire? i know thats a key part of how the tailgate mount works.

yeah I got the daystart bump stop replacement. they are actually smashed against the tire...i cut the first layer off. I might reattach the first layer to see if that will help

ah forgot about that guy, need to start watching his videos again

so getting my front ds tomorrow....to try and install it for saturday or just wait for a shop to do it. worried about having enough time basically.

I haven't messed with a ds sense I was a teenager . I don't have a clue how long it would take.

eddies write up on project jk makes it look kinda easy, but then hard at the same time so I may mess with it tomorrow if i can find all the tools I need.

Taking the stock DS takes longer. Make sure you have the tools (1-1/4" and 1-1/8" sockets) along with a good air impact wrench. Just installed my front JE Reel 1350 shaft and took a good 2 hours total.

Follow his write up and it's not that it's hard at all it's tedious cuz of the small bolts and that you need to rotate your DS and shift your T-case every now and than. I say go for it and as long as you have an impact gun to get the yokes off you will be fine.
