Hinrichs 2.0

Taking the Tray out first and mounting the tower then trimming the tray to get it back in is the way to go. We did it half and half - after trying to be careful and only trim the minimum we ended up just pulling the tray to finish - This also makes it easier to get to the top bolt on the C/O.

If I only would have know

Passenger side blows, and I need a new battery.....

Trimming the plastic sucks. To anyone doing this take your battery out first. Rookie mistake there.

What we did when we installed our is lift up the batter and stick a large socket under it. It lifts it up 1+ inches and you still know where the battery is, but you won't cut into the actual battery itself. You don't have to disconnect it that way either.

Also, WOW your build is moving along FAST - looking really good man!

Oh well, gotta run out and get some baking soda to clean up the acid spill, caught most of it in a bucket but yeah the driveway still got a good amount on it. I did soak everything with a hose tho and washed myself off.

haha that put a smile on my face. I cleaned up and had a few beers...tomorrow will be better i keep telling myself

Oh man... That sucks!!!! Coming along nicely though!!!

yeah I should have known better after the driver side went so well. I did half think about just pulling the battery but was like nah shouldnt have to trim that much

I like it for the most part, have been fighting with the connector and a little bit or corrosion which is annoying, just need to remember to actually replace or clean it and use some dialectric grease on it. That being said I have used it a few times to pull myself and others out. I probably should upgrade to a 11k for this jeep but ill see how this one does.

Thanks man I've been asking around and I've heard nothing but positive reviews. I'm going to order it 👍🏻

Thanks guys, nothing like installing these on the jeep when it only has maybe 200 miles on it lol. All the factory springs still have their factory sticker tags on them.

Drivers side bolted up, working on the control arms now the upper bolt is being a royal pain to get loose.

Anyone know how much of the factory bump needs to be trimmed for the Kings? I think it was 3" but can't find any DIY threads on it.

Looking good Jim!

Very Sweet!

I am just getting caught up on the forum, your new thread is just awesome Jim. Very happy for you and your new 4 door. So cool that you did not even skip a beat and went right to installing parts :thumb:
