Hinrichs 2.0

The big thing right now is where I want to put money into the jeep. Like steering is something I have been kicking around for a while, just not sure how I want to finish off my kit since I have the box already, just need the ram and other stuff. I was just told however the evo track bar bracket cant handle a ram? Can anyone confirm this?

I would love long arms, but with how little I actually drive my jeep I feel as it may be a waste to get them right now. I also need to start saving for new tires for next year since the 37s are starting to dry rot and will be dead depending on what happens this summer/fall.

I would go for the steering . To me it would be a more piece of mind on the trail. You don't really need evo long arms right now.

Also in not sure about the evo bracket holding up? Hard to believe your nittos are rotting already

I would go for the steering

I'd do the same. You will be really surprised how much more comfortable your Jeep will drive. Face it, most of us East Coasters do more highway miles that trail miles so
why not make it more streetable?

They all look like this

Do yourself a favor and at least price the new Cooper STT Pros when its tire time. I don't know of any tire that can beat this one when I only paid $315 per. Granted I got one helluva deal
but these are still cheaper than Trail Graps by a significant amount. They're awfully quiet too.

I dunno I kind of like the shimmy from the tires and the balance issues and feeling like I am going to die when I hit certain imperfections in the road lol.

I am almost sold on the coopers, just want to see how long they last which doesnt even really matter to me since I hardly drive my jeep. My tires now I think I paid around 315$ ea or so, but that was 2-3 years ago. They have a lot of meat left on them since I dont drive the jeep much. It sucks too cuz my spare is basically new but wont be able to be used I dont think.

LOL - yeah I used to carry a spare pair of shorts when I was still running my old RE lift setup. :icon_crazy:
I thought that's how these things were supposed to handle & just put up with it for a year like a dumbass.

This PSC setup is the bomb. Call Wes at Trail Jeeps up - I bet he could get you set up with the parts you'd need to use what you have.

Well after getting some numbers from Trail jeeps, I will be going hydro assist very soon. Sucks I need to swap out the evo trackbar bracket but oh well thats easy enough to do. Also think I will be going to the ruffstuff tie rod since its a good deal and should be alot stronger than stock.

Hopefully there is no issues with the steering box that I got from my friend.

I don't disagree that the Ruff Stuff tierod is stronger but it is also very easy to bend. My brother and another buddy have both killed one. My brother is thinking he may get one of the RS Kit tierod and getting a solid piece to put in it hoping it would be much harder to bend.

Good to know, I will keep looking for options. I just feel that the stock one is super easy to kill isnt it?

My stock one lasted awhile before I let Thardy drive lol. With the ram it defiantly is very easy to bend if you force the steering if the tire is pressed on something. All though I guess its worth mentioning Ive only seen Ruff Stuff bend from being ran into things.

If my spotter had told me I couldn't turn any more.....LOL

After talking to Eddie, I will just run the stock tie rod for the time being, also just going with a clamp for the ram mount and a tack weld to hold it in place since he said the clamp likes to move.

Right now I am just trying to figure out I will wing it with the steering box I have from my friend, or send it for a rebuild which I dont want to do ( I am trying to be as cheap with this as possible). Trail jeeps said I have the older style box, which I am going to assume is because its a delphi box which I thought was better to have. Here are the pics of it again.

Good idea. My clamp on the tie rod did roll forward and I had to straighten it out once. My clamp is aluminum so I couldn't tack it. Figured if it rolled again I'd take the tie rod off & have it knurled at my local machine shop.

He was using the tack weld more to keep it in place and have something for it to push against.

Why do you have to swap out the EVO trackbar bracket?
