Hinrichs 2.0

Looks like poo. Shouldn't you know how to fit them by now?

lol, yeah not good at these at all. Do need to mess with the drivers side tho and maybe get the top to fit better...

Was the aluminum easier than the steel to fit?

I feel in a way they were, but maybe it was just my imagination.

So last night I started to cut for the tail lights, still need to trim a little more I feel tho. Didnt take any pics cuz I only spent maybe 30 min on the passenger side while waiting for my buddy to come over so we could go ride bmx (like I needed another hobby but yay for fitness)

Tonight I plan to see how the synergy bushing fits and go from there so maybe I can drive it tomorrow depending on how I feel after todays upper gi scope procedure....god damn heartburn...

OH ! Also setup my regear finally for early next week :thumb:. Went 5.13 and my local shop is doing them. Was going to get new diff covers but decided to hold off for a little while since I prolly will need that money for a new knuckle.

Both tail light holes cut tonight, and wired up the tail lights. Just primed the pass corner and need to tweak the drivers a little yet at the top, brainstorming on how to move it over a few mm.

Shot a little self etching on both cuts

Also for the synergy bushing fit perfectly....but new issue of course. This is about as tight as I could get the oe rhd drag link in, and yes the boot is crushed up kinda strange. It's definite tight and this bushing has more metal on top vs the evo supplied one.

I just did the Evo drag link flip with the synergy bushing on my wife's jeep and that was as tight as I could get it also. It's looks exactly the same.

Good news on the synergy bushing!

Total noob mistake last night, but when I shut the garage door...I heard a loud bang...yup freshly bedlined corner skin falls to the ground  Didnt check it this morning, but hopefully my touch up doesnt look like shit and the paint will actually stick to these. If not I guess I will be fitting the tire carrier then going to get them powdercoated or I will sand them down as best as I can and then get some proper epoxy primer.

Looks great! Didn't love the white or was it just paint primer? I think both colors look good either way.

Looks good Jim. Guess you decided against white?

still on the fence

Very nicely done

Thanks, I forgot how hard these tail lights can be to get in lol.

Primer first was more green but probably looked white. I did prime the driver side tonight in a white primer made for alum, so after I see how that looks I may paint them white. The set on the 2 door was white first but I sprayed in the middle of winter so they looked like ass.

The color matching is definitely more "under the radar" than the satin black. The black is a bit more of the "trail look". I dig both[emoji106]

Edit: I know I probably did not help one bit by being Captain Obvious
