Hi-lift jack on the hood

Here are some photos of the jeepswag mount. It shows the base side bracket, monkey fist brackets, how much room above it you have with the soft top, etc. if you look you can see how the one soft top bracket passes between the mounted jack and rollbar. If you want any others let me know and I can run outside and take it.

Hey Pete, you get much rattle while driving?

None from the mount or hi-lift. The only rattling is the shovel and axe against each other and that's few and far between. Just in case I wrapped them with a couple small bungies and it hasn't made a peep since.

As I have been having the same problems I decided to mount mine to
the roll bar with heavy duty straps. Has been working out fine even in rough terrain.

if you hood mount it with the [hi lift]brand mount it will block the washer fluid! so when you try to clean your window it just goes all over the hood.:grayno:

I have the ACE mounts for the hood hinges and I like them. The washer fluid was useable on both my 08 I had and now the 2014. It's easy to get the jack on or off the hood. Plus I like the look.

With the ACE mount and the handle facing front/foot facing the windshield, the washer works fine. As far as it breaking loose I don't see how it is dangerous to the driver. Most likely you are stopping fast sending it away from you. With it mounted behind you if it breaks free it's headed towards your noggin.
