Thanks for the welcome guys! I look forward to joining in on the local meets and trail runs.
Yeah, it was the XT model and had it tuned for 20psi on 91 octane. It weighs about 200-300lbs more than a WRX but it still had no problem keeping up with them. To be able to cruise up a steep grade at 80mph, have 5 people, clothes, cameras/video/snowboard gear, and with a cargo box on top was pretty awesome. Full boost was achieved around 2700-2800 so the trans rarely had to downshift. Not the fastest car, but definitely caught people off guard since it looks like any other SUV.
For power mods I was running a WRX turbo that was port and polished, had a billet wheel and upgraded wastegate actuator, larger intercooler, fuel pump, intake, turbo inlet, electronic boost control solenoid, aftermarket downpipe, exhuast, and a Cobb accessport. Also had 1000cc injectors ready for an e85 tune but didn't want to risk blowing the motor as it was around 124k miles when I traded it in...60k of those miles being modified. It actually started having major misfiring issues right when I was looking to buy my JKUR. Tried troubleshooting it, and was left with a rebuild being the only option. To add a new block would have been a good chunk of a down payment, so I said screw that and let the dealer deal with it lol. I loved the car, but I didn't suit my outdoor lifestyle like the Jeep.
