WelcomeHi, my name is Alex and I bought a 2024 Jeep Wrangler JL 2 door Sport S on July 3rd of this past summer. I have wanted a Wrangler for as long as I can remember. I'm now 48, and all 5 kids are out of the home building their own lives, so I get to have my dream. I wanted a 2 door Wrangler with the V6, and the dealership made me a pretty good deal on my trade-in, so it all lined up. I still have a ways to go, but I have made a few modifications. It's mostly been installing some external things. I have no mechanic or electrical experience, but I have been able to install a Tazer switch panel, factory aux buttons, pod lights, pre-runners, a Rugged Ridge stubby bumper with KC fog lights by myself. I had my rear bumper installed by a local professional because I wanted the extra LED lights tied into my reverse lights.
My wife lost her job back in September, and just recently got a new one making a bit less money, so my lift, wheels, and tires plan is on hold, but my plan is for a 2 inch factory lift, 35 inch all-terrain tires, and whatever wheels I can find at the time. Mostly will depend on what I can find locally. I've already done more to it than I thought I could on my own. I've included some photos below. Not pictured is the rear bumper, front MOLLE panel, and back shelf all from Hooke Road. I've not taken then top off yet, but hope to buy a hard top removal lift in the next few months so I can make that happen. I had hoped to make some of the local trails this summer, but I want the lift first so I'll just have to wait a little longer. No worries though, I finally have my Wrangler, and I'll enjoy it regardless of whether it's on pavement or trails. I've waited this long, and I'm just happy to be on the journey.
