Hello from Iowa

You will want atleast 3.73 gears for 35's and id recommend nitto or bfg km2's. Km2's are slightly shorter but last longer, are slightly lighter and are quieter. Nittos are bigger even though they are both 35's and the sidewalls are stronger according to what ive read. Either way you will be happy with either tire choice. Mileage-- i got at best 15 or 16 with 35" nittos and 3.73's on the 12

I hear you on what your saying I have done my research on aevs products and it seems they have the best inroad performance which is where my jeep will be 95% of the time I have even driven an aev jeep on the beaches of OBX NC and it handled amazingly. My jeeps main purpose is for transporting me back and forth from college from Connecticut to North Carolina so ride quality is very important. and also looking good for the girls cruising around town during the summer to and from work. I also will not be re-gearing because I don't see the purpose if I am not gong off road a ton. I oat likely will not go with the nitro tire because i weighs so much and I wonder about its performance on ice. Although I would love a true 35 inch tire I will strongly consider buying a the lighter A/T alternative (Duratracs) which will perform excellent in snow and ice but will be closer to a 34 or 33.5. Also in your experience did you find the jeep struggling to maintain speeds north of 70+ Im not a fast driver by any means but when I pass pennsylvania the speed increases to about 75 80 and lugging heavy Nittos with 3.73 gearing is a concern will i have pick up at all in 5th or 6th gear? my other questions were was the y pipe an absolute necessity with the 12 jku? I have the 6 sod manual and have read mixed reviews.

the jeep wasn't bad with 3.73's and 35's on flat land. in the mountains I just would manually downshift it to keep it out of overdrive.
