Heater core hoses.

THis is going to sound stupid but is there any chance that the heater core hoses can be routed incorrectly.

Are you not getting any/enough heat into the cab? If so, there might be some junk clogging the core.

There is something interfering with my heater core... But rather than fixing it properly, I just swap the hoses leading into the core (at the firewall) about once a year to reverse the flow. Then everything is nice and warm again. Lol...

As small as the heater core is, flow direction isn't going to matter. It will heat no matter the orientation of the hoses.

With your vague question, it sounds like you aren't getting heat. You could have an obstruction in the hoses or the core. Your air mixing door may not be functioning. Your selector may not be functioning.
