Got my ham radio installed in my gladiator today, using the wayalife accessory bar. It keeps the radio within arms reach, while not blocking your field of view .if you are thinking about getting one. Stop thinking ang get it

Looks clean. What type of radio and antenna set you?

That's just a little cheap b-tech 2 m/ 70cm. Got the nmo antenna from them when I bought the radio. The antenna mount I got from Amazon uses one of the cowl bolts right in front of the driver's door. I will post pictures when I get it mounted

Wonder if it's the same bracket I ordered only I used the Midland antenna. Radio is in the Jeep but I haven't mounted it yet. Seeing yours and how clean it is kind of crushes my previous ideas on where I thought I might want to put it.

I used the @wayoflife antenna/accessory bed mounts on mine with a Midland antenna. Since I had one on both sides, I checked for ground continuity across the bed between the brackets. I got a good signal on the meter and after checking the resistance at ~3 Ohms, decided to go with a grounded installation. The only drawback was my 18' cable came up about a foot short, so I have an extension coming this week. Being a belt and suspenders type of guy, I'll probably also ground the brackets to the frame.

3 Ohms sounds like a lot for something which should act as a conductor. But if you do not disconnect your battery, there could be other current flow going on, which could throw off the meter's reading.
