Yeah, I searched the Web for almost two weeks and spent two full days driving around New England to find one with under 200k in good condition.

I'm not sure about the color, but this one is a 2000. I do like it a lot though.
 
Right. Duh, this XJ is a 2000, can't possibly only be available on the '01. Maybe it was 2000-2001, maybe I'm thinking of a different colour. Either way, nice Jeep dude.
 
So, I'm debating on Plasti-Dipping my wheels and rear bumper.

I quickly photoshopped a few examples of what my XJ would look like with the rear bumper and wheels blacked out.

Let me know what you guys think!

O ya thats a hard one now, maybe black wheels if you plan to tint her out, if not maybe give the gun metal a shot!

Sidenote: It's incredible how little wheel well room these things have compared to JK's! I'm shocked you were able to fit 33's under yours with only a 2.5" lift! The cutting and fender flares must've made all the difference.

Yeah, I only tinted the rear windows for now. I'll likely end up doing the rest when I have a little more cash that hasn't been slotted for better mods!
 
I think my biggest hurdle will be finding a spot to do all this painting in January in New England.

Reason number 4,587 that I wish I had a garage, preferably with heat!
 
Can't wait to do some wheel and bumper painting when the weather gets a bit warmer. However, until then I'll settle on a Yakima rack that I pieced together via Craigslist for $140.

New tail lights and side/front marker lights should be arriving this week too!

EDIT: cancelled the order for the side/marker lights since the VHT tint came out so well.

Got a break in the cold weather today so I took a little time before work to tint my marker lights with good old VHT Nightshades.

Looks nice.

On the oil leak, use a degreaser and then pressure wash it clean. Then you have better chance to back track the leak. Check oil pan and valve cover bolts. You might get lucky.

Actually, I have an update on that. Apparently, the first fix worked but they didn't seat the pan gasket properly. It was a five minute fix and hasn't leaked a drop since. It's nice looking at a dry pan!
