How long do they last? They operate on the premise of keeping the D ring from rotating? These are Daystar washers for drings, they are cheap

Wire ties will isolate the shackle .Two per shackle should do the trick. Here's how they look after about a year; definitely some wear, but still holds it in place.

No.Wrapped around each end of the pin, fills the void enough to stop rattles.Pic? Just zip ties around the bottom of the ring?
Yeah, that's kind of where my head is going. We have the Daystar ones on the JK and the ring still rattles around. Now on the WJ, the mounts I have have a sleeve welded in the middle that takes up the perfect amount of clearance and you can rotate the ring and it just stays there. No rubber at all, just metal, no rattles. So you could probably stack washers to achieve the same thing.

Make sure to post up what size and how many washers if you get it to work; I might go that route when these wear out. The welded on sleeve looks good, but beyond my abilities.
I didn't make it. It came that way. I myself don't think I would feel safe welding near a recovery point. I would hate to risk making the metal weak from heat. I trust my welds for certain things, but that area just scares me.
Maybe a combo of the two is best. Rubber and metal.Good points, I wonder if the washers would be alright under the pressure of the D-ring in use? I could see if pulling at an angle a washer popping under the pressure. The rubber solutions (though not permanent) would just flex with the D-ring movement.
That's a rubber inside? Interesting idea. So the rubber would flex with the shackle under load but the metal would proved the tension force to keep the shackle from freely rotating. Yeah?Maybe a pair of 3/4" sealing washers?

Looks like I found a buyer for my JCR front bumper. There are a few guys interested so I pulled the trigger on the new LoD Destroyer stubby front bumper so I won't have to worry about not having a bumper in the interim. Can't wait to get it on! Only concern with it is it doesn't sink the winch in the bumper and my temps climb on the mountain passes. We'll see if it makes it any worse. If so, I may look into aftermarket radiator, a fan, or a hood louver. Hood louver would be my first preference since it actually changes the look of the Jeep.
Should arrive next week, after our trip this weekend unfortunately. Was hoping it'd get here first so I'd have it for that. Oh well. I'll post up lots of pics of it. Seems like I may be the only one who went with bull bar instead of stinger.Looking forward to seeing the new bumper on Scout. I think I'll be going with the matching front as well.

New bumper is 20 min away. FedEx says it'll sit in the semi truck till Monday afternoon when they unload. Why?! Leave tomorrow for an overnight trip and desperately want it on. Sigh...
