Gap between tailgate hinge and body, normal?

Hey everyone, I recently mounted a 37inch tire on my tailgate following eddys video.I know it’s not an ideal solution but it’s only temporary. It’s been on for two days and so far it’s solid, no sagging, rattles or shakes. I can open and close the tailgate fully with no issues.
However today I noticed there’s a gap between the body and the tailgate hinges. I don’t know anyone in real life that owns a JL so that i could see if it’s normal or not. From the shitty pics I’ve seen online I THINK it’s normal but I might be wrong. Can anyone check their JL and tell me if they also have this gap? I attached a few pics. TIA!

Haha I too was like uhhh what gap? Until you circled it. Looks normal and nothing to worry about.
