Fusion 4x4 Axles / Dynatrac Dump

I respect you for standing by your principles. Hard to find much of that anymore in this culture. :thumb:

Thanks. It’s partly that and the fact that we have to pay for the axles ourselves, so if someone else is offering a well built American made product for less, I can’t really ignore that.

I guess I can’t really blame them, since the culture seems to have gone that direction. People seem more interested in a video if there’s a chance of seeing some skin than if there’s a chance of gaining some useful insight or knowledge. Can’t really fault the “stars” of the recent video either. They found a way to exploit an entire industry and I guess, make a living at it. What rubbed me the wrong way was how we, a vendor of their products, couldn’t even get an email response to tell us no they weren’t interested.

I'm the same way. I can't fault those 2 for gaining popularity and parlaying it into some sort of career. I'd love to be able to do the same. But, for companies to essentially dump their core in order to chase the "gram", seems like a long term bad business decision. but, maybe that's just me.

I watched your Gladiator Video you could have found some shorter shorts or something! :cheesy:

It's a horrible business decision. Along with that, Jeep companies throwing themselves at someone who has little to no Jeep knowledge or off-road experience. Makes no fucking sense at all. But sex sells I guess....

I can't wait to see what it is and to hear your review. A well-built American made product, at a better price point, and that doesn't take months to get, would sell very well in the Jeep market once the word gets out.

The funny thing about the clickbait youtube phenomenon is that most of the people who can actually afford to buy Dynatrac really aren't going to give two shits about flash in the pan "influencers" who have zero technical knowledge and zero real world off roading experience. If anything, the Cotex build, burn out video, and welfare to Kev&Ho have led me to start looking in a different direction for axles...and I know I am not alone in that regard.

Tera44? I think it’s pretty solid.

Not sure what the new guy there is thinking, but in between snotty rebuttals here telling us to spend our own $50k if we don't like their build, to stupid burnout videos, and alliances with these clowns wearing bikinis and hanging all over Jeeps, seems like they are interested in pursuing, ummmm, who I don't exactly know. But pissing off your core customers doesn't seem to be a terribly good marketing plan. Especially when there are other options out there.

I’m 99.9% sure that was Jim that posted that response before the server crash.

Hmmm. I know you already have one with Fab9” housing. I’m going to say Fab10” housings with Ried king pin knuckles and being that you sell the 7075 tie rods maybe not high steer but you could change it later if you want to. 72” width Fusion or ECGS.

Do I get a free T-shirt if I’m close?

Fuck, I wish. It costs more in parts than it is to buy crate axles. Too impractical for this build.

Lol
maybe some Fusion Builder's axles?
I tried and they tried, but we just can’t get the costs to make sense.

It’s really nothing big. We will most likely go with the UD60’s just as Mel has. While I wouldn’t say they’re as “well built” as Dynatrac has been, with a little bit of welding we are able to remedy any weakness they might have. Hell, I’ve seen axle brackets break off of PR60’s so it’s not like they’re impervious to breaks themselves. You definitely get more bang for the buck with the UD60’s and can have them in a matter of days, not months. EVO now makes a Gladiator bracket kit for the rear so once they arrive, we cut the old brackets off and weld all new brackets on.

:thumb: i'm guessing the UD60s also integrate better like the e-brake issue you mentioned before?
