Friday 8/28/15 Desoto Mine Trail Arizona

If we find that some of the trail isn't passable by some of the rigs we can do one of many cool trails in the area. Turkey Creek, Crown King, etc. I think we'll all be good on Desoto Mine but will make the day great irregardless.
 
Went to Desoto Mine today. We didn't get to complete the trail due to some time constraints but had a great time. Hit a short trail with some good obstacles on the way back to Phoenix. Had Mike with us for the first time, a welcome addition to our group.

A tiny bit of collateral damage coming off a steep hump. Bent the trailer wiring bracket and cracked it a little bit. Think I'll try mounting this flush in to the bumper instead. I hit the end of the tow bar, too.

Nothing a new tow bumper won't fix. ;)
 
I still want to complete the trail. Was great to have you along, Mike. Paul, always great to have you too. Good company always makes a trail even better. Wish some of the others could have made it. Will post next trail soon.
 
Yeah the trail was fun, but I am going to bring a gas can next time, just in case. The group was small but pleasant, and Mike, it was great to meet you. Hopefully you can make it out again sooner rather than later! It's too bad I couldn't catch the second trail with you guys, but maybe in the next week or 2 we can trek back up there and give it a shot again. Also, great photos guys, thanks for snapping a few pictures!

I'll be out of town next week but I'll definitely be in for 9/12. Maybe 9/8 too if my manager approves my day off. :thumb:

I am also planning on investing in a solution to carry extra gas. 12-14 MPG sucks! I hope I can find ways to improve that a bit.

Appreciate you guys tolerating my newb-ness. :D
