That wind was insane on the way home. You should have seen the tumble weed explode when you hit it. It was awesome

And the bits and pieces of the said tumbleweed stinging my face when I hit it. Good times. There's something rugged about driving topless and doorless in a dust storm!

Seriously though, looks like a great run. Does that end or go near the town of Kernville? Used to camp and party near there with my Toyota 4x4, back in my late teens and 20s. Haven't been there in 20 years but would like to go back and camp again with the family..... and I won't being bringing any local Kern girls back to the camp next time!

Lol we were letting some guys on dirt bikes get through that's why we were so close together and yea it does we actually went to the brewery at kernville after the run

A group of us from the Porterville/Terra Bella area were up there about a month ago and hit a trail just North of that one. I wish we'd driven another mile or so down the road. I found the Freeway Ridge Trail on a map after we got back and realized we were close, but no cigar. Definitely need to head back and do this one. We did find the Kernville Brewing Co though, so at least it wasn't all bad. :beer:
