What is a good floor jack for a JKU with a 3-4" lift and 35s? When adjusting coilovers, I would need to use the frame jack points - and am looking for a jack with enough lift. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Eric
1)Properly block your jeep
2)lift the Jeep from the body(works best if you have rock sliders) with a high lift jack about 8 inches
3) put a jack stand under the frame, repeat the process on the other side
OR
1) properly block your jeep
2) lift the jeep from the axle several inches with a floor jack
3)place a jack stand underneath the frame, repeat the process on the other side
4)place a floor jack under neath the axle
5)remove the wheels/tires and then lower the axle to full droop.
When I need to jack the body up I use one of these and run a trailer hitch pin with the clip in through the D ring mounts my front bumper or rear D-ring mounts.
It has almost a 20" stroke so it'll lift pretty high. $50 at Harbor Freight.
