I was with a group of non fisherman and after I weighed my pack (35lbs) I started dumping shit. unfortunately the rod was one such item.

A 3wt and a handful of flies would have made it into my pack…I would have dumped something else…

Next to going to Alaska, I look forward to this trip every year. There are no roads to this destination…either a two hour boat ride or a prop plane/helicopter ride. I really enjoy the boat ride…

While I try not to catch any of these guys, they are the reason I time this trip every year to coincide with the Kokanee leaving the lake to enter the river to spawn. Even though they only eat plankton, this aggressive male hammered my olive crystal buggar…

While half the fish were 12”-14”, there were plenty in the 16”-18” range, with the biggest a solid 20” bow…after three days of fishing, about 40 cutties & 20 bows…all on my 10’ 3wt esn rod…

Since there are no car rentals at this place (a vehicle would need to go by barge), this is how I fished 15 miles of the river…
