Farm Jeep Build x4

Being the wife's and most of the beginning miles are going to be highway miles; she went to the tire shop and traded the MT's for a more highway tread. I thought she made a pretty good trade for $80 a tire. Went from 255/75 R17 to 285/70 R17 raised it an inch or so plus 1 1/2 inch wider on the tire.

Our 02 tj met up with some concrete and the front axle is bent. We found a used 30 and 35 combo to put under the jeep. In the process we are re-gearing to 4.56 and adding a eaton trutrac in the rear axle. Also we are going to convert to disc brakes in
the back. I have both axles disassembled now we are waiting on parts. We are going to sleeve and gusset the 30 and see how far she makes it.

Looks like your gonna get a shower.
Clicked on this thread and thought I recognized the silver bullet.
You need to tell us about those new gears.

New gears are kick ass!!!! I can use 4th gear now. Heck if anything I wish I went to 5.13's but I was scared with my little D30 axle. It will seriously get up and go.
