Evo towers

Hello everyone, new here and this is my first post. Tried to search but couldn't find what I was looking for so don't drag me to bad.

I am building out an double shock system for my jeep. piecing it together as I don't have 20,000$ to drop on a new kit. I have all brackets and hardware for an Evo DTD for the front and rear coil over brackets to use with standard control arms. will get trailing arm later.... if anyone has a takeoff hit me up.

To the meat: what I can find is that full EVO spec kit with trailing arms has 14x2.4 shocks, right? I found some other information that the front only DTD has 12 inch for 2.5 of lift/ please offer any input on that matter

What I want to know is this. has anyone used anything other than the OEM shocks with the EVO towers. I am looking at the Carbon industries 3x12 (or 14) 5 tube 1inch layout. anyone ever looked into fitment of a larger shock on these towers? I would like the Kings stuff but I'm poor and carbon is cheaper and I dig the idea of extra tubes because race jeep.

Goals. I want to drive off a 5ft warehouse loading dock and not bat an eye. I don't want to bomb the desert I want to Hiroshima the desert. it's my daily but full cage/ race 5.3 harness and PRP seats will be next after I get the go fast bits worked out.

Current build:
Rock Krawler mid arm adventure series pro triangulated arms
Synergy springs 4 inch
Fox factory 3.0 IBP shocks. for sale, fresh rebuild less than 1,000 miles
Motobilt skid system
2.5 ton RPM steering all around
Steel steering box
weld on track bar bracket
Apex ball joints
Evo extended brake lines
Powerstop brakes
8inch extension on all cables/wires
Evo swaybar links
Artec truss and C gus
Lower control arm sliders
Coming soon Synergy knuckles

Based on your expectations, buy a trophy truck or ultra4 race car.

What you are wanting out of your Jeep is a hella of a lot more than 20k. Heck, axles alone will cost you close to that. Might need to rethink you plan on what you actually need.
it will be a over time project for sure. but if I could afford a 500,000$ purpose built I would love it

This was my first thought when reading. Any pics of this whip in it's current state?

Lots of bad ass shocks on the market without having a dual shock set up. What shocks have you used thus far?

If you’re really trying to go that route with your jeep. You really need to get axles first since they will always be the limiting factor. Especially if your trying to wheel as hard as your hinting at. Hell Eddie already killed a D60 lol.

WTH? The EVO DTD does not use shocks - it uses a coilover and a bypass shock. I question if you understand what you're doing. Disciple is right - save your money and buy something other than a Jeep. You think you're poor now, wait til you start trying to build a Jeep to jump off of loading docks.

I know, but thats whats fun about these things. unlimited directions to go. it wont be over night or even finished this year but I have a solid idea of what I want. Too many guys buy some amazon trinkets and call it a build, and hey if thats your deal cool. Thats what the jeep life is about but I want something unique and all my own. build, test, build more, break it and so on.

If you are still young, make sure that you have a job which offers a 401k. Max out your 401k contributions every year, and then you are assured to be able to afford what you are wanting to do within 35 years.
Honestly the company I'm with doesn't match much which is a shame but I'm running at 10% right now
