EVO TJ at Congress, Arizona. Ultra 4 race!

Podium Finish!

Had a great start to the day with a clean passing grade through tech inspection with EVOTJ, the suspension that's has always raised red flags has now been officially included in the Stock Class category as legal (minor changes made)
The race car started exceptionally strong for the two lap race (15 miles each), but ended up with transmission troubles that had it limp to finish for a 3rd place podium spot. It was a good day! Now for the "survivor's" dinner ;)

I got a few pics out on the track. What a great day!

It won't be long before there's a top of the podium finish!:yup:

They would have been this time if not for their tranny taking a dump. They started in the back of the pack and were in the lead after lap 1 of 2. Even limping across the finish line, they still managed to nab 3rd.

They did well. The course was not terrible, but there were a couple sections that can grab you. Definitely tough without a fully functioning tranny or lockers (as experienced by another team).

Congrats Mel and Jim!

It looks like someone stole your coil sliders after the pre-run.

That is how we got the TJ to pass technical inspection and get a tag. We removed the coil isolators and welded the two springs together to create one. Simple fix to make it legal in the stock class :thumb:
