EVO Stinger length

I have held off on adding the stinger to my 1/4 pounder for quite a while now because garage space is limited. Just to be certain I can't squeeze it in, those of you who have the newer smaller Evo stinger, how much extra length does it add to the front end?

Do they have a shorter stinger for the 1/4 pounder?

There is only one EVO mfg Stinger available. It does not matter if you are buying the steel 1/4 pounder or the aluminum 1/4 pounder, the optional Stinger add-on is going to be the same for either bumper. Sorry, but I cannot help out with measurements of how far it extends beyond the front edge of the bumper itself.

Maybe he meant the Pro Series front bumper.

If I'm correct there has been 2 versions of the Evo stinger. The first version was bigger than the one that is currently available.
If I was at home I would put a tape on mine.
So you need the measurement from bumper to singer tip? How far it sticks out forward of the bumper?

I have been around a couple of EVO builds, there has only been one Stinger size for the 1/4 pounder. Here's the original EVO stinger and it's exactly the same as mine, yours and all the others out there.

It's the same size as this one on a build that has been completed within the last 6 months

If the OP is talking about the new Pro Series bumper, that is considered a "hoop" and not a "stinger", and the hoop is integral to the bumper and not an option. EVO does not offer a "hoop" for the 1/4 pounder

I believe Eddie said once to me Greg that the stinger on moby and rubicat is different in size. He said that mel shortened it at some point.

Thanks for the info fellas! I stand corrected [emoji106]

No problem. All good. I didn't know it either until Eddie posted that on that thread.
Surely someone can get Torqt a measurement on how far that stinger sticks out past the bumper.

You mean you're not going to pitch a fit and argue about how Eddie's wrong? :cheesy:

Nah, Eddie and the entire internet already know that they're wrong [emoji12]

I am usually more wrong than I am right, so no change here. Wrong again. I will be a winner at life one day.........

Edit: just as I was sending this post my wife sent me a photo on iMessage of a package that just arrived in the mail. Looks like I'm a winner now. My attire for the Baja 1000 as EVO 1's co-pilot. I don't really care about stinger length at this point anymore [emoji106]

It's been changed for a long time is why you haven't noticed. It's been about 2-3 years.

It's that thing you will be seeing just off the end of the hood of EVO-1.
Congrats! Pretty awesome!

There is no way I could be a co-pilot in something like that. Unless there is a intake and and exhaust in my helmet. Motion sickness to the max!

You know, the custom stinger that is tied into the frame on EVO 1 now, well I cannot see it unless I loosen my shoulder harnesses and lean really far forward. Which is usually what I have to do during the slow rock crawling sections in the canyons to help spot the driving lines. Other than that, in the open desert high speed sections I never even see the light bar at the end of the hood.
