It will be interesting to see if they try to ban them here. You recall that some in the US gov are trying to ban DJI drones and because of the threat of spying and data sharing.

The problem is that most things we buy (including cars) are full of parts made in China, even if they are assembled in Indiana. If pagers can be made to explode, then surely some parts can be subverted to behave differently when exposed to a special code.

The amount of computer/device firmware and software which originates from programmers in some other country, or are recently from there, is amazing.

If you are accessing the Internet, the probability is extremely high that you are using a product which was made in China.
