Although our little valley is known as "the onion capital of the west", it is also a major producer or organically grown broccoli, cauliflower, celery and a wide variety of leafy greens for supermarket Spinach and Spring Mix packs. This of course would include things like Baby and Teen Spinach, Wild Arugula, Baby Kale, Green & Red Chard, Green & Red Oak, Green & Red Leaf, Red Butter, Tango Mizuna and Lolla Rosa.

How do they control squirrels?
LOL - we ask ourselves that question ALL THE TIME!!
Our best guess is that they're diligent about keeping the perimeter of the fields clear of any brush or anything that could be a would be home for them. Where we're at, we have wood piles, structures that they burrow under and of course a tree line that follows the irrigation ditch and that's where we typically see the little shits come from. That, or they some how calculate a margin of loss with every crop.

That's exactly what he did!
I think that's the ticket for sure. Gotta trap or kill them before they figure shit out. We were just hoping that the electric fence would do the job but now we know we have to step up our game.
I think that's what we need to do next. I think the lowest wire is not electrified and so we need to make it harder to go under it.
