Thanks Frank, I appreciate it.

Since it seems to have been missed by a few of you, I DIDN'T start any of this. In fact, I'm not even sure what happened to get this guy's panties in such a bunch. In spite of that, I need to remind you that I tried contacting him twice by PM and in an effort to resolve whatever issues he may of had with me. So that it's clear, neither of those PM's were responded to but rather, additional false accusations were PUBLICALLY made against me. I have since posted up a link to the exact conversation I had with notajerryskid and I even posted up the exact PM that apparently offended him so. Make no mistake, I have NOTHING to hash out with this guy and if anything, I believe he owes me a public apology.
 
Fwiw - I dont think most of us care, sir - honestly. For me, personally, the beef isn't mine and im not judging anyone because its inconsequential. Itd be sad to lose a contributing member of the forum, for sure, and thats always a bad thing especially over something so trival... but if that's all it takes for "friends" to fall out then thats their loss. Tomorrow i will still chat with the good people on here and learn more about the jeep and what im doing with my build.

Like i said 100x already - you dont rag on me for a Teraflex lift i run, didnt belittle me for undersized duratracs on my 16x6.5 stock wheels (what a weird size!!!!) and i didnt get banned for having a few back and forth conversations with you on a thread here... in fact i feel like we could have some drinks after wheeling if i were on the west coast so theres that.

Essentially the petty trouble outlined herein is just that - petty. Im only commenting since you seem to have posted a clarification and I for one am not judging you or sharkey or frank or even Pvan over the ordeal - it is what it is. Im sure others feel the same way
 
Fwiw shit like this is better to be left in the open. When it's done in private there is no record of anything. That is when people start rumors.

Everyone can have their opinion but the truth is out there.

Understood. Not what i was getting at - I was just saying that just like most of us dont have any issues with the ads or trolls, im sure most of us hold no reservations on this one either - i know i dont. Supportive if anything. If that makes any sense.
 
Seems to be a lot of butthurt concerning how Eddie runs this forum. For one it's free and not overrun by ads like a lot of others. It's a business and should be run like one. I love those facts. I've had convos on threads and thru PD's with Eddie. He's never bashed me for running a Rubicon Express lift or ORFab bumpers. He took the time to offer real world experience with both plus gave me great feedback to help me decide on tires. I've also asked him questions about the stock axles and he helped me find the answers. So thank you Eddie and if I do get the chance to meet you the first round of American honey is on me. Btw thanks for the Nitto recommendation on tires. My buddy got MTR's at the same time and they are chunking all to crap after 5k miles.

Not at all about how he runs it.

Most of the comments you are seeing as people being "but hurt" are actually just people who personally knew pvan, and are shocked that this is going down with him.

I've got no problems with how Eddie runs HIS forum, just bummed to see a friend go.

And for the record- Eddie did not ban pvan, there just seems to be a lot of misinterpreting and therefore things need to be sorted out for reconciliation, and appologies need to be made.

It's not just this thread there have been others. I don't know Pvan so the disagreement between him and Eddie is between them. It's just sad that this seems to be happening a lot more lately. whether it's because he called out a company (for good reason), disagreed with someone, asked someone to follow the rules etc it just sucks to see this happen. Honestly it's still better than other forums I've been on. I'm really hoping it all calms down soon and we can get back to real issues like making fun of Prius's.

Well we'd be surprised if you went off the deep end too, but I 1) dont expect you will, 2) dont see you acting in that way and 3) am fully aware that 1 and 2 are redundant lol

I just meant that they should sort out in private so that you don't get all the others jumping in and stirring the pot basically trolling, making what could of been a simple misunderstanding into a complete shit fight.
by all means once things are somewhat resolved come back to the public eye with an outcome.

Did you happen to read that Eddie TRIED to make this private. Pvan instead CHOSE to ignore him and CHOSE to make this public and well.... You get what you ask for right?

From my perspective, Eddie and I gave Pvan every opportunity to just back up, relax, and quit making a big deal about something that had nothing to with him. (A dude coming on here to post pictures of his son's JYA's knowing full well what would happen.)

Pvan didn't take the hint and instead chose to vomit up a bunch of crap and attack Eddie, then attack me. That's his choice...and he can put on his big boy pants and deal with the outcome.

Seriously though, the logging in and lurking is just ridiculous. Man up and say what you want to say, or just leave and never come back, but don't sit and hide in the shadows and expect even a modicum of respect.

Sort of. Unlike you, he could actually hear it. So that was a good start. :cheesy: We got the parking brake fixed. Noise is still there, but not nearly as loud. Might also be the rear DS, so I'll pull that and replace it in the next day or so and see if it goes away. We doing some skids this weekend?
