Denver wheelin this weekend

Just saw this today. I would have gone.
I should watch this forum more closely!

It was sort of a last minute thing, someone asked if there were anyone running trails. I was planning to take a couple of friends out that hadn't wheeled before other than the parking lot at the local supermarket :brows: So I threw out the idea of where we were going, most everyone that responded wanted something a stock jeep could run. The trail was pretty stock friendly, however there is one optional obstacle the can challenge everyone. The group played on Moab Hill for a while before finishing the loop. Great day had by all and some learning opportunity for the newbies.

Sorry I couldn't make it! And it was my idea to go this weekend, things just came up, plus I didn't have the skids on I wanted to, but still I had some family things that came up. Let's go on another run soon later in Jan maybe?

Sounds good. There are a couple of runs coming up that should be fun. I'll post some details soon.

Just got back from the kick off run in the desert. Hopping to get some runs in local with the group. Any ideas on when and where for the next one??

Heard that there was a group heading out to Hackett Gulch in a couple of weeks. I'm probably going out in a couple of weeks as well, not sure if I am going to going that group or hit another trail.

Definitely let me know - I'll do what I can stock and bypass what I have to, as long as I'm not in the high country skiing.

Most of what is up near Hackett is pretty easy, Hackett itseld can be tough just to get into. There are a couple other trails up there Longwater gulch, Metberry Gulch both are really easy minus two sections that are large slabs of granite. They are only difficult if there is snow. Definetly need a winch if the weather sucks.

Yep all of those trails are pretty easy except the couple of slick rocks. Have been taking quite a few up to China Wall, most of the obstacles can be bypassed and those that can't are pretty mild. A good trail for those running stock or close to and those that have little experience. It is pretty fun in the snow as well. Let me know if anyone is up for a run.
