There's no difference between a 1310 or 1350 besides strength in the ujoints and shaft itself. Not sure who told you that, but don't listen to their advice again.

What size gears are you running now? If you're saving for a new axle, might as well do it all then. Why regear if you'll be getting a different axle anyways? I made that mistake sadly.

with D30 I'd go 4.88 at the lowest, IMO the R&P of the 5.13 is too narrow.

Everything else mentioned is solid advice that I've followed and it's saved me a bunch of $$$

Depending on your actual use, a PR44 doesn't need to be expensive.

I found Dynatrac Direct was very helpful in helping me configure my PR44 rather then trying to upsell me into stuff I didn't need.

Also consider your brakes, the Dynatrac ProGrips are fantastic for stopping those 37's.
