i would wait on the sanding and liner stuff til u get the gussets welded in place.that way u don't have to take off what was just sprayed on and then getting it resprayed.

I just bought a stock d44 housing from an 08 rubi for $100 is there anything I can use from turdy(D30) for it just wondering what i wont have to buy also what locker/axle shafts do ya'll recommend? View attachment 13697

I concur. Get it all cleaned up, put your gussets on and then line it.

Not to me and not if you think you'll upgrade the crappy factory locker with an ARB in the future.
