Cut Fender Thread

Cut fenders look sweet! I'd like to do mine, but I still have stock Rubi tires as well as springs and shocks off a 4 dr. I'm just afraid trimming them now will make my rig look like i need bigger tires.
There would be definitely some wheel gap. Here's a shot with worn out 32" KMs and leveling kit:

Finally got around to cutting my fenders. I think they turned out pretty good. Found some LED strips for the side markers. They came out pretty clean. They may be tucked in a bit high but I think they should still work. Here are some pics.

Here's mine. The edges are a bit uneven. I'm waiting for warmer weather before I can put the door seal around the edges.

Some one had a white 4 door at the El Cajon suds and grub with fenders that he sanded down instead of using the door gasket stuff. Looked really clean. said he used a belt sander to finish it up. Super clean. Think I'm planning on going this route with it.

I just did mine today :)

Looks good

It's like Chris said..you're cutting the fenders in preparation for what's to come! It will just force you to speed up your build's timeline a little. That's not a bad thing at all! :brows:

Here's how I cut mine. I did both front and rear with the flares on the jeep using a jigsaw with a metal blade.

Need to do this to mine! I really like the lines Eddie took. I like leaving the back without a dove-tail look to it, more of a rounded 90* line. Problem I'm having is that I'm running the stock 32" mudders with a 2" BB already...the fender gap will be insane if I cut them now. Not sure I've got the budget to get the 35's, new wheels AND re-gear all this summer :grayno:
