100 grit flap wheel. Just went over it lightly and knocked off all the sharp edges and smoothed out the grooves. Worked well...you could get more a brushed look with a 250 or 320 grit.

I've been thinking about painting them but not powder coating them. I think they get scratched too much to do it though.

I'm in the same boat, I'm wanting to paint mine but don't think it will last. My spotters are horrible. Lol

Painting them would be sweet. It would look cool for a while and when you scratched them you could just respray the scratched surface while its on the tire. Use playing cars as a shield so you dont paint the tire.
