Cracks in tires

After living in AZ for almost forty years I can say dry rot does exist and the end result can be catastrophic failure. I had a Michelin tire on our DD that had more than 50% tread and had been on the car 5+ years. It blew and did some minor body damage. Glad it wasn't the JKUR @ 85mph! One benefit was the car rode 100% better with fresh rubber. It's a tough call, but it's better to err on the side of safety.
