Reminds me of some friends I had growing up. They would buy "Big O" tires with a lifetime guarantee. When they would get half worn, they would drive around in the greasewood and then go get new tires.

For those who don't know, greasewood is kind of like creosote bush, a known tire killer

That's good to know.

I figured they had to do something like that, or they would go broke. One guy could buy certs and get all his buddies tires replaced if they didn't.
 
I remember why I didn’t buy the certificates.....

Save your money and IF (big if) you puncture a tire your only out a few bucks more compared to the extra cost of the warranty thing.

As Overlander said it's 30 days from the date of purchase. However I recently had to buy 2 new tires for our Durango. They said if I bought certs for them I could buy 2 for the others because they had more than 60% (6 months old). I also learned the certs would have even covered my son's mishap of driving over exit gate tire spikes. I thought for sure that they wouldn't cover it that due to negligence. Figures the one time I could have used them I didn't have them. I still didn't buy them though...haha.
