Been experimenting with “Cowboy” coffee. More so for trail/camping coffee but also at home. Whats cool is the simplicity of it... Using a kettle or pot, get the water hot, add coffee grounds, then bring to a slow rolling boil for a few minutes... remove heat... add a some cold water to the top and the grounds (Science) sink to the bottom... Pour a cup.

I think the key is not to boil too high and burn it. I really like it so far and it’s suppose to be less acidic this way.

Anyone else tried this?

Do it in a cast iron and it’s better. 🤤

Throw in some cinnamon and cloves.

My brother does this too. I must not know to do it right - I always end up with a mouthful of grounds :icon_crazy:

I like cooking with cast iron, but dealing with the rust & oiling is a pain in the arse.

Gently add a little cold water... let sit for a second, then pour slowly. The grounds are at the bottom so you don't want to stir it up.
 
Trying a new brand out. They have one called Beadlock Texas Pecan but I'm not big on flavored coffee. I like it straight up black

I’d buy that just for the packaging. Let us know if it tastes like motor oil. Lol
