Not to rain on the parade, but I just removed the spring that's attached under the hood..the dead weight of the hood eliminates the hood flutter

This is ralphies rig but,
Plastidipped grill
Chopped fenders
Stubby front bumper

Total:$25 for door trim, lights and plastidip. Gives the jeep a lot more attitude.

The Tuffy hood lock fixes this for good and gives security.

Here's a quick idea I thought I would share for anyone with a jku, and storing items under the rear seat- Harbor Freight 3x6 cargo net $7.99, start at one side and attach to the clip in the seat, and the bracket underneath, stretch across to other side, and attach. Use a velcro strap to attach to the front legs. Keep items from coming out from under the seat. You can trim any excess netting

My iPad mini mount. $35

I was looking at those grab bars that are machined out of aluminum and had a 1" ball (carolinametalmasters.com). I didn't really care about spending almost $200 for a whole bar, when all I really wanted was the 1" ball to mount my iPad on.

Went on amazon and found the parts to make it work with my stock grab bar.

Pulled off the alan "bolt" to mount the ball and found out it was just a cheesy screw and the "Jeep - Since 1941" panel just snaps in with clips.
I found a screw that would work and mounted the ball to the little panel then glued it onto the grab bar so it wont fall off.

Here is what it looks like without the iPad:

If you look up on the top cage cross-member, I have to run a bluetooth GPS device, since my iPad mini is wifi only. (it's about $95 on amazon)

Works awesome!

Can you please give more details on the ball and how you made it work. Like what exactly you bought. I've been looking for something like this for a full size ipad. Thanks!

Where can I find more pictures of his chopped fenders? I'm scared with my stock tires and leveling kit there will be way too much gap...

I'm not sure I have anymore than that one. It didn't look bad at all man. He now has a RE lift and 35's but he was running 35's with no lift for a while also.

Thanks! I don't have a pic with the evo leveling kit and 32's because I didn't add the leveling kit front coils until after I already had the 35's on it, sorry.
