CARPE NOCTEM - Midnight Snow Run

Always great pics Eddie really jealous of the snow its been in the 70's here in North Carolina the one thing I hate the most is a warm winter
There again we did have a good snowfall early this year :yup: in FEBRUARY

That was a good snow storm. Is that prison hill?
Cool pics too, as always.

A couple were from Prison Hill but the rest were from Ash Canyon.

As a native Floridian I've never seen snow like that  82 today, but i'm going to my in laws for Christmas in Colorado so I can't wait. It looks like it would be so much fun to off road in.

Nice! At least you'll get to see some of the white stuff :yup:

That is crazy - sounds like what our friends back in SoCal are seeing.

Always enjoy your pictures, Rubi looks great in the snow. Attending a hockey tournament in South Lake Tahoe second week of January, what are the roads like between Carson City and South Lake Tahoe. Trying to decide if I'm going to stay in Carson City. Thanks for any assistance and keep the great pictures coming.

It's not bad at all if you take Hwy 50. Actually, it's not even bad if you go up Kingsbury Grade as it gets cleared. :yup:

And, that's about all we've got from this fun little midnight run. I hope you enjoyed the pics

these photos are awesome gotta say this is probably my favourite. what camera do you use to take these photos? and did you use a tripod for all these?

That being said, the Mud Grapplers do amazingly well in the snow. Guess we'll have to get Moby out just because

Well that's good to hear. We went out to play in a little snow Sunday and my BFG KM2s were absolutely horrible. Granted much of what we were driving on was hard snow pack instead of powder, but I was really disappointed with how awful the KM2s performed, no traction had my jeep going sideways too many times for my liking.

Awesome shots! Carson sure looks awesome covered in snow at night makes me miss it. I haven't been that way in about a year. Thanks for sharing! [emoji16]

Thanks for sharing Eddie and Cindy, I am sure jealous of the snow you guys are getting. Its been very warm here so far on the east coast which is nice. Hell it was 71 yesterday and last year I have pics driving in snow :idontknow:

I know we're the oddballs out there when it comes to photography but, we love and use an old Sony. Some of the shots were taken by hand but this one was on a tripod.

Yeah, I've never been too impressed with KM2's in the snow. Of course, most MT's don't do that great. That being said, yeah, these Mud Grapplers do surprisingly well in the white stuff and I would say, noticeably better than Trail Grapplers.

Sounds like you need to make a trip out this way :yup:

I hear you there. Although I love everything else about them. I'm switching as soon as they wear down. These suck in the snow pack.
