CARPE NOCTEM - Midnight Snow Run

Thanks to the well needed El Nino we're seeing this year, we've been having an awesome winter and one filled with lots of snow. Yesterday was no exception and after spending the better part of the day indoors catching up on work, Cindy and I started to go stir crazy and decided to stop what we were doing and get out into the white stuff for a bit. Granted, it was about midnight when we packed up and headed out to do some snow wheeling but, what the hell - you only live once right?

Anyway, here are a few pics from the fun we had around town and up in the hills and if you've ever done anything crazy like this before, post up some pics as we'd love the see them :thumb:

LOL - Can you say FROSTY THE SNOW JEEP!! As we were driving across town, we made a quick stop at our Jeep dealership to take a few pics of these awesome snow covered JK's.

why do you always take Rubicat out in the snow? do the Mud Grapplers do better in snow than Moby's toyo's?

LOL!! The simple answer is that Rubicat stands out in the snow and therefore, looks good in pics. That being said, the Mud Grapplers do amazingly well in the snow. Guess we'll have to get Moby out just because :crazyeyes:

Those look awesome. I plan on heading to Truckee for New Years if I have time I'll shoot you a text and see if you're in town. I have to get the top and doors back on first though. 34 was a little cold driving to work this morning. I don't think I could make the drive to Truckee naked this time of year...haha.
 
Great photos! I hope some of that white stuff makes its way east, I've been dying to go play in it too.

Yeah, that would be cool! With all the snow we've been getting, this should be easy enough to plan.

Man, I can't believe you guys still haven't got any snow - guess we're taking all of it :crazyeyes:
 
As a native Floridian I've never seen snow like that :cool: 82 today, but i'm going to my in laws for Christmas in Colorado so I can't wait. It looks like it would be so much fun to off road in.
 
Always enjoy your pictures, Rubi looks great in the snow. Attending a hockey tournament in South Lake Tahoe second week of January, what are the roads like between Carson City and South Lake Tahoe. Trying to decide if I'm going to stay in Carson City. Thanks for any assistance and keep the great pictures coming.
