Independence Rock! One of the most famous sites along the Oregon Trail.

Devil's Gate Wyoming. Is a natural rock formation created by the sweetwater river. Just a few miles southwest of independence rock, the emigrants used these landmarks to guide them along their journey. Pictures don't do these amazing sites justice.

If you stop and climb up you can see all the signatures and 'graffiti' they left for followers.

No the pictures don't, you can see it pretty far out when coming from the other direction, it looks like someone carved a slice out of it the sides are so steep.
