K&N filters are overhyped and overrated, at least for engine air filters. In fact studies have been done that show OEM filters filter better! CAF I have no idea about.
 
Great write up. I changed mine out yesterday and it was pretty bad. One piece. Hopefully the cabin will smell like new after replacing this!!!
